The Regroupement offers adapted housing and temporary accommodation to meet the needs of low-income persons with disabilities or seniors. With these units designed to provide a pleasant and safe environment, the Regroupement aims to promote the autonomy of its members.

Respite room

Our dedicated staff will warmly welcome clients with physical disabilities primarily between the ages of 15 and 60. This temporary stay is an opportunity to provide families, caregivers and loved ones a period of re-energization during which they can replenish their energy with confidence.

Established in partnership with the CISSS Montérégie-Centre, the temporary respite services meet high quality standards. Temporary accommodation can last up to six (6) weeks, depending on the availability of the centre and the needs of the individual.

The Centre Multifonctions Sieur de Normandie has (2) two rooms reserved for respite that can accommodate a maximum of four (4) handicapped or elderly people.

Targeted clientele

Persons aged 15 to 60 years, with a physical disability (visual, auditory, motor);

Inclusions

Accommodation is available for people with neuromuscular and degenerative (multiple sclerosis) or congenital (spina bifida, cerebral palsy, etc.) diseases, suffering from craniocerebral trauma or mild intellectual disability.

Exclusions

Accommodation cannot be offered to people with behavioural problems, mental health problems or moderate and severe intellectual disabilities.

Respite Care

  • Two (2) temporary respite rooms
  • Constant support and supervision
  • 24 hours a day, seven days a week
  • Basic safety
  • Lever on rail and electric bed (the person must bring his technical aids)
  • Full meal services
  • Help with medication
  • Hygiene and laundry services
  • Support for mobility
  • Help with bedtime
